  • Elevator Pitch about yourself, my name is <name> and I am a <position> I am passionate about <VFX/2D/character animation/modeling/texturing> I do blah blah blah.
  • Walk the class on the projector through your current website
  • Present 2 job postings along with your 2 cover letters focused on the job description.  (copies for everyone in the class)
  • Present 2 types of resumes edited to show focus on each job (copies for everyone in the class)

I will score you on each of the following.   You will each also grade your peers.
  1. Elevator Pitch
  2. Site
  3. Portfolio and Reel
  4. Cover letters and resumes, business cards.
    1. Consistant theme
    2. Professional and targeted language in your cover letter 
  5. LinkedIn presence, bonus* if you have any recommendations.
  6. Is there fluff/unnecessary content that should be cut out?  
  7. Things you didn't do or make on your site?  You will be blacklisted when you commit plagiarism, there is little to no forgiveness in the industry for liars, those people find jobs in India.  Automatic 'F'

  • Do you have pages created to show your work/contact etc?
  • Important content is 'above the fold'?

  • Will a recruiter know what kind of job you want in 3 sec?
  • Link to your Social contacts LinkedIn,Twitter, FB (only the ones you want)
  • Contact form?
  • Resume viewable in HTML or PDF format 
  • Slideshow/Lightbox/Embed your reel to show work
  • Link to others in your field to show you follow the industry. (Inspiration Link?)
